NBA Update

Tonight, Boston smashed the Sixers 101-85 to take a 3-2 lead in that series.  Now Kobe Bryant is about to play what will probably be the last quarter of his season.  The Oklahoma City Thunder, who lead this series 3-1, have an 83-77 lead at home with one quarter to go.  It's not Kobe's fault; he has 34 points.

  1. Kobe is sitting on the bench to open the fourth quarter. The Thunder open with a jump shot from James Harden and a three-pointer by Kevin Durant. Now it's 88-77 with 11:03 left. Lakers call time.

  2. Oklahoma City 91 - 77 L.A. Lakers (10:11 left in 4th Quarter)

This is suddenly over. The Lakers (with Kobe still on the bench) commit a foul. Kobe gets off the bench to check in. But before he can get in the game, Kevin Durant nails another three.

So we say good-bye to Kobe. But now we finally get a real challenge for the Spurs -- who are 8-0 in the playoffs so far. The Thunder are 8-1 in the playoffs, and I think whoever wins that series will win the NBA title.
