Album Review: Tomorrow's World by Erasure

If you're my age you probably remember the band Erasure that popped up in the mid 80's as another synth pop band.  Well if you are also like me you figured those guys faded away by 1989 or so, but you would be wrong.  They have never stopped working and came out in 2011 with their thirteenth studio album Tomorrow's World.

In today's world where there is so much music drawing inspiration from those early to mid 80's synth pop bands, Erasure sounds relevant some 25 years after their first album release.  The album pretty much is what it is.  If I told you that there was a new album from Erasure and it pretty much sounded like a 2011 version of the 1986 Erasure then you'd pretty much have a good idea of what it would sound like.

As I said for the Joe Jonas album it is what it is and for what it is it works.  If you want to have a dance party with a bunch of 40 somethings this album would be a fun one to throw on.

Following the Rhapsody rating method I give it 2 out of 5 stars for Not Bad.
