Not This Year, Tennessee Tech!
Last year, Murray State was 23-7, and had won 11 of its last 12 games, when the Racers were stunned by Tennessee Tech 64-59 in the semi-finals of the OVC Tournament. That did not happen this year. The Racers, before a whole lot of folks from western Kentucky who had driven down I-24 to Nashville's Municipal Auditorium, pounded Tech 78-58 to advance to the OVC final today. Donte Poole scored 25 points, while Isaiah Canaan (pronounced "Cannon") pitched in 18, and the rest of the Racers looked very sharp. Next up, the 29-1 Racers take on Tennessee State -- the only team to beat them during the regular season. That game will be at 1 P.M. C.S.T. this afternoon. GO RACERS!
