CBS just had a little feature on Kentucky's freshmen. They showed Anthony Davis, Marquis Teague, Michael Kidd-Gilchrist, and Kyle Wiltjer sitting in the bleachers at Memorial Coliseum. Teague said something like, "Hello, this is Mook, and I'm here with A.D., Gillie, and K-Dub."
Two quick points. First, these really are young kids, regardless of how much maturity they show on the court. It's just hilarious to watch them hanging out and using their nicknames. I have this image of them all sitting around in their hotel rooms today playing video games, just like every other teenage boy in America.
Second, given that Anthony Davis could literally be headed for the Hall of Fame, that so many others on the team could be multi-millionaires in the near future, and that Coach Calipari is a character who would make an amazing topic of a high-end TV show, is anyone in the class of 2015 having a more interesting freshman year than Kyle Wiltjer?
