While the Kentucky men have advanced to the Final Four, the UK women's basketball team has made it to the Elite Eight. Here are their results in the NCAA Tournament so far:
Kentucky 68, McNeese State 62 (Ames, Iowa)
Kentucky 65, Green Bay 62 (Ames, Iowa)
Kentucky 79, Gonzaga 62, (Kingston, R.I.)
The Lady Cats are now 28-6, but to reach the Final Four they will have to beat UConn, the number 1 seed in the East Region, with a record of 32-4. This will be a brutal game. But UK is clearly building a strong program, and if they continue, it's only a matter of time before they win one of these. Maybe tomorrow will be the night.
