Album Review: Vice Verses by Switchfoot

For what this album is I would say it's a pretty good album.  The problem is I'm just burned out on this whole sound.  Think U2, think Joshua Tree, think stadium rock.  At this point I'm totally burned out on bands that gravitate to this sound, because in the end they all end up sounding just like every other band gravitating to this sound.

Still if you're into that whole thing or you're a big Switchfoot fan then you should like this album as it's a solid example of the genre. As you can tell from my tone it's not for me. Probably the biggest problem for me with an album like this is there isn't any song that really grabbed me when listening to it. I think if you're going to do the big stadium rock thing you need at least two songs on an album that really grab people when they hear them.

Following the Rhapsody rating method I give it 1 out of 5 stars for Just OK.
