More music inspired by the 50's and garage rock. This is a solid collection of shorts, but there is a problem here. As I've said before about garage rock it's all about the hooks, the melodies being so catchy that you're infectiously tapping your foot. There are no moments on this album that so moved me. Still the vocals are solid, the music works, it's just missing that something special that would make it a good album.
Following the Rhapsody rating method I give it 2 out of 5 stars for Not Bad.
Based on this video, your review is spot on. I can immediately think of four or five songs by the Go-Go's that grab your attention in a way this does not.
