Well after being away for eight years they came back in 2011 with a new album. If you're looking for some folksie, country music then these guys are a good way to go. They sound a lot like a late 60's country folk band and so if you're in that mood it will be a fun listen.
There are a few moments here and there, like "Tiny Arrows," but for me the album drags after a bit.
Following the Rhapsody rating method I give it 1 out of 5 stars for Just OK.
i've enjoyed some jayhawks over the years.

ReplyDeleteYou should give "Tomorrow the green grass" a spin. It's my favorite Jayhawks CD. Came out back in 1995. I was living in Rhinebeck, N.Y. and working at The Poughkeepsie Journal in the lovely mid-Hudson Valley when this came out. Reminds me of driving around the Catskills, up to the village of Woodstock, back over the Hudson to Bard College, then south to my little loft apt. Man, was I poor, but my music knowledge was rich.
