Today's AP poll once again has the University of Kentucky at number one -- the third week in a row the Cats have held that honor. Murray State, the nation's only undefeated team, moved up one spot to number 9 -- just above the Duke Blue Devils. That's quite an accomplishment. And OTIS returns to the rankings, with the Cardinals at number 24 -- just behind the Indiana Hoosiers. So three of the six D-1 programs in the Commonwealth are in the nation's top 25.
UK's next opponent, the Florida Gators, are ranked 8th. Mississippi State -- the only other SEC team to be ranked -- is number 20.
It's nuts that the meetings of the NC2A tournament-selection committees are closed. I still think UK's going to have to win out to get a 1.
