'Black Diamond'

Mad props to all the winners at the Madisonville-Hopkins County Chamber of Commerce Annual Luncheon and Awards Presentation. Kudos, too, to the outgoing chamber board chair, Amy Sanderson, as quoted by Ron Sanders at surfky.com/paducah:

“If the Western Kentucky chambers continue to partner together--you’ve got Henderson to Hopkinsville and Paducah and the lakes to Elizabethtown, and to me on the map it looks like a diamond--we should be the Black Diamond of Western Kentucky. So watch out Central Kentucky and your Golden Triangle; the Black Diamond of Western Kentucky is making changes.”

I think this marketing strategy is going to totally, totally resonate with western Kentucky business decisionmakers of a certain age.
