Oh, Kentucky
Meanwhile, the Georgetown men (14-2 this season, pictured in the 1967 Belle of the Blue) are up to No. 5 in this week's NAIA Div. I men's basketball rankings. Lindsey Wilson (11-4) is No. 14; Campbellsville (11-5), No. 22.
"An event to officially welcome Coca-Cola back to the WKU campus is being planned for a date soon to be determined."
Sad biz news out of London.
A brighter report from Greenville.
Good jobs news from Elizabethtown and Mount Sterling. Also, good jobs (but not news): "In 2011, 71 motor vehicle-related companies announced a new location or expansion in Kentucky. Those projects represent more than 5,000 new jobs and nearly $1.1 billion in new investment across the Commonwealth."
Mystery ... um, ... solved?
The Kentucky desk regrets failing to note in advance Pennyrile Forest State Resort Park's Rook weekend--but is relieved to learn that the Rook action rolls on at Rough River Dam State Resort Park on Jan. 20.

ReplyDeleteWhen Number 1 son was looking at colleges, one major issue of concern was whether Coke was available on campus. Unfortunately for him, the school that was his top choice has a contract with Pepsi. This was a big problem -- until Dad found a Wawa's right across the street from the campus.
ReplyDeletewawa's is a fantastic chain.
