I think it's pretty funny that someone has started selling blue and white gear with the phrase "Louisville Doesn't Exist."
I think it's even funnier that Eric Crawford, the C-J columnist who always wants to assure us that he likes both UK and U of L (yeah, right) is so bitter about such gear.
Of course, these are hard times for the fans of OTIS ("Other Team in State," as Coach Cal calls the Cards).
I'm with Eric Crawford, who was born on Aug. 2, 1968.
ReplyDeleteThis was my favorite part of his column:
ReplyDelete"Oh, but you say, I misunderstand. The shirt is saying the 'University of Louisville' doesn’t exist. Well, that’s not what it says. And I assume that if somebody’s going to go to the trouble of putting something on a T-shirt, they’re going to mean what they say."
He's just spluttering at that point. He sounds almost exactly like the Assistant Principal in "Ferris Bueller's Day Off."
I'm so used to writers for the C-J driving UK fans nuts. It's really fun when the tables are turned.
Perhaps Louisville will exist again once they fix the broken bridge.
