Pat Grossi does have an incredible falsetto voice, and he can sing. But for me this album is too slow and to engrossed on its style more than its substance. The best song on here by far is "Hanging On" a very good pop tune which plays to all the stylistic components Active Child is trying to succeed at without forgetting that these are in essence dream pop songs.
There are other good moments on this album, but I would find it interesting to here Grossi push his voice in different directions than he does on this album of what he calls hymntronic a combination or hymnal choir music and electronica.
All that negative stuff being said it would still be a good album for background while you sketch or paint.
Following the Rhapsody rating method I give it 2 out of 5 stars for Not Bad.
