Album Review: Here For a Good Time by George Strait

I was really thrown off by this album cover.  When I think of George Strait I still think of that 30 year old who hit the scene 30 years ago.  Yes Strait turns 60 this year and for the past 30 years he has continued to churn out country music grounded in classical country traditions.  He's put out 32 albums over those 30 years and I always find it hard to dislike anything Strait does.

This album is a good mix of classic country themes of broken hearts and alcoholism.  If you're a classic country singer this just seems like the right kind of music to be putting out.

This album has some very likeable moments, I especially like the song "Poison" and so if you're in the mood for some good country music then throw this one on and enjoy.

Following the Rhapsody rating method I give it 2 out of 5 stars for Not Bad.
