I would label this album as adult R&B, sort of in the same vein as adult alternative. Hamilton has a good voice and is a very good singer and this album has a solid collection of songs. It's a pretty quiet album with low key beats and it works quite well. One of my friends in school growing up was a kid named Tony Hamilton and so I always have had a soft spot for Anthony Hamilton, but I find this to be a solid R&B album.
If you're in the mood for some R&B and want something new then I would say throw this one on and you won't be disappointed. It would be a good album to throw on at night after the kids are in bed and you and your wife are sitting around talking or reading.
Following the Rhapsody rating method I give it 2 out of 5 stars for Not Bad.
