We're Number One

As expected, UNC's loss to UNLV has allowed UK to vault into the number one spot in the AP Poll. Forty-six voters picked the Cats as the number one team, compared to 17 who picked Ohio State and two who picked Duke. Here is the top 20, with SEC teams in bold. Based on what I've seen so far, UNLV is underrated and Vandy is overrated:

1. Kentucky: 6-0
2. Ohio St: 6-0
3. Duke: 7-0
4. Syracuse: 6-0
5. N. Carolina: 5-1
6. Louisville: 5-0
7. Baylor: 5-0
8. Connecticut: 6-1
9. Wisconsin: 6-0
10. Florida: 4-1
11. Xavier: 4-0
12. Alabama: 7-0
13. Missouri: 6-0
14. Michigan: 5-1
15. Kansas: 3-2
16. Marquette: 5-0
17. Pittsburgh: 5-1
18. UNLV: 7-0
19. Gonzaga: 4-0
20. Vanderbilt: 5-1

This is the first time UK has been ranked number one since the last week of January 2010. That team lost its first game as the number one team at South Carolina, 62-68. They then beat Vandy 85-72, before falling to Number 4 the next week.
