Here are the teams in the OVC as ranked by Ken Pomeroy. The number next to each team represents its national ranking; in other words, Pomeroy says that Murray State is the 89th best team in the country:
89. Murray St: 7-0
169: Austin Peay: 0-7
196. Tennessee Tech: 3-3
205: Morehead St: 3-4
208: Tennessee St: 3-4
226: E. Kentucky: 3-4
231: S.E. Missouri St: 3-3
244: E. Illinois: 3-2
287: Jacksonville St: 2-4
295: UT-Martin: 2-5
338: SIU-Edwardsville: 0-4
Congrats to Murray, which won the Great Alaska Shootout with victories over Alaska Anchorage, San Francisco, and Southern Mississippi. The Racers have some big games coming up: they play Western on December 1, Dayton on December 4, and Memphis on December 11.
Morehead has been blown out by North Carolina State (91-61) and West Virginia (83-48), but they beat Princeton 68-56.
Eastern's only game against a BCS school was on November 7, when they lost at Mississippi State 76-66.
Austin Peay, by the way, has played a tough schedule, with its first six games on the road or neutral courts. In their only game against a BCS opponent, they were beaten by California 72-55.
