Last night, at the Country Music Association Awards, the CMA paid a special tribute to Glen Campbell. Like many middle-aged CMA viewers, I grew up in a house where the classic Glen Campbell albums were part of the soundtrack of my childhood. Peter Marshall, on The Music of Your Life radio network, just played "By the Time I Get to Phoenix" and then told the story about recently running into Glen Campbell. The two had always been good friends, he said--but "this time things were ... different. Now we know why."
ReplyDeleteThat dark-blue 1975 Datsun B-210 that is shown about midway through this Hollywood Squares episode is a terrific-looking car. I had a late '70s Datsun hatch for a while, and I really loved driving it. But this '75 sedan is the bomb.
