HP SPECIAL REPORT: The streak is over

This is a Heath Post special report ... For the first time since 1984, when Franklin's Joker Phillips was a Wildcat wide receiver, the University of Kentucky has beaten Tennessee in football, 10-7 in Lexington. Senior offensive tackle Billy Joe Murphy from Gamaliel, "I can't begin to explain what I'm feeling right now."

    And the Hilltoppers did, indeed, close their regular season with two straight wins to finish 7-5. It appears highly unlikely that Western Kentucky will be invited to a bowl, but the Kentucky desk will be holding out hopes for the Military Bowl.
