I really like the opening track on this album, but for me the album never again captures that blend of styles its going for. It becomes a bit too experimental for my tastes, and doesn't give Yukimi Nagano enough space for her vocals. This is the real shame of the album. Joss Stone may have great pipes compared to Nagano, but Nagano could sing Stone under the table without even trying, and so her talents seem to be a bit wasted on this album.
Electropop is tough because too often the musicians get over indulgent and lose track of the fact that they are constructing pop tunes. In this case you have a wonderful singer who is wasted because of the over indulgence of her bandmates.
Following the Rhapsody rating method I give it 1 out of 5 stars for Just OK.
