Album Review: Country Again by Ronnie Milsap

Ronnie Milsap released his first album in 1970. Since that first release he has never gone more than three years without a new album. That's a lot of albums. His last two releases were gospel based, thus the title Country Again.

Now if you had asked me I would have thought Milsap stopped putting out albums around 1982, and so I was pleasantly surprised by this album. He still has a solid voice and on this album he has a nice collection of material. If you're a Ronnie Milsap fan you won't be disappointed. Funny thing is that Milsap in the current music world sounds very unique and so his blend of pop country is refreshing.

This would be a fun album to put on when your parents come over for dinner.

Following the Rhapsody rating method I give it 2 out of 5 stars for Not Bad.

  2. my mom's so old that she thinks of Ronnie Milsap as hippie music.

he sounds as good as ever. i honestly thought this was a cover of the doobie brothers' "what a fool believes" when it first came up.
