Last week of the regular season. I'm very glad the Pirates get to end the regular season at home, and that they are playing what may be their last regular-season game against one of their greatest coaches ever. The only other questions of interest are whether Christian County and Mayfield can complete perfect seasons. Two points about Mayfield: the Cardinals are going for their 25th win in a row, and the last time they lost to a team from Western Kentucky was almost exactly two years ago -- on October 30, 2009, in the last game of the regular season, on the road at Caldwell County. The Tigers won that game 14-10, and they will try to repeat the trick tonight.
Southwestern (6-3) v. Christian Co. (9-0) (Don Marshall Bowl)
Ballard Mem. (3-6) v. Webster Co. (0-9)
Caldwell Co. (5-4) v. Mayfield (9-0)
Calloway Co. (3-6) v. Trigg Co. (6-3)
Crittenden Co. (3-6) v. Madisonville-North Hopkins (7-2)
Fort Campbell (5-4) v. Hopkinsville (0-9)
Fulton City (1-8) v. Reidland (2-7)
Fulton Co. (2-7) v. Murray (8-1)
Heath (3-6) v. Lone Oak (7-2)
Marshall Co. (6-3) v. Graves Co. (3-6)
Union Co. (4-5) v. Hopkins Co. Cent. (1-8)
again, i think it's highly possible that lone oak's quarterback is Mrs. Ousley's grandson.
ReplyDeletewe have a new no. 1 in class 3a, by the way. louisville central lost, 32-30, at home to pleasure ridge park last friday, and my bell county bobcats moved up.
ReplyDeleteI predict that if Louisville Central plays Bell County in the playoffs, Central will win by at least 20 points.
ReplyDeletego, bobcats!
ReplyDeleteBluegrassPreps.com, by the way, agrees with you.
