First, I want to correct a mistake from the Day 10 update. Game 2 between Texas and Detroit was not rained out on Sunday; it was postponed until Monday because the powers that be thought is was going to be rained out. This was weird, but OK for me since I was watching the Packers and Falcons on Sunday night anyway.
Yesterday, the Tigers and Rangers did play Game 2, and it was a doozy. It went 11 innings, until a grand slam home run by Nelson Cruz in the bottom of the 11th gave Texas a 7-3 victory. Detroit has to be very concerned about the fact that so far, 20 innings of baseball have been played in this series, and the Tigers have scored in two of them. Detroit faces a must-win game at home tonight.
In Milwaukee, the Cardinals had a very easy time of it, crushing the Brewers 12-3 to even that series at one victory apiece. This was St. Louis's 15th consecutive victory in a get-away game, meaning that the Cardinals have not boarded a plane after a loss since August 3d. This victory came largely due to the efforts of Albert Pujols, who had a home run, three doubles, and five RBI.
National League Championship Series (Best of 7):
Milwaukee and St. Louis are tied 1-1
American League Championship Series (Best of 7):
Texas leads Detroit 2-0
Go, Cardinals, and go, Tigers!
