Album Review: Red River Blue by Blake Shelton

I have spent a lot of time on this blog poking at Nashville for their formulaic sound, but truth is they wouldn't stick with it if it didn't work.  If you want an example of some professional Nashville people putting the formula together then pick this album up.  Truth is when it's working this is a very enjoyable album and I can certainly see grabbing it up for a drive through the country.

There are a few duds on the album, like "Hey," but for the most part it works as it should.  Shelton is best when he's delivering 70's style country pop tunes like "Honey Bee" which went platinum before the album was even finished.

Following the Rhapsody rating method I give it 2 out of 5 stars for Not Bad.
