Cycling Update: 2011 UCI Road World Championships

The French took another gold today, this time in the Men's Junior road race, but the big story of the day wasn't Giorgia Bronzini (Ita) repeating.  It was that Marianne Vos (Ned) took second in the world championships for the 5th time.

Coming in second five times in the world championships is an amazing accomplishment, but it's still second with no wins to her credit.  You have to feel for Vos.

The USA still has no medals in this World Championship, tomorrow is their last shot in the Men's Elite race.
