Album Review: Dakar - Kingston by Youssou N'Dour

Dakar - KingstonAs I've said before on here my exposure to reggae is very limited.  My exposure to world music is even less and so this album, which is a reggae effort from one of the top African pop musicians of the past 20 years, is completely out of my knowledgeable zone.

That being said this is a fun album.  There are some great hooks on this album and the mood and feel is uplifting and insightful.  I know nothing about Youssou N'Dour, but this album makes me interested to hear more of his stuff.

If you want to get a comfortable exposure to world music and experiment with some different reggae then give this a listen.

Following the Rhapsody rating method I give it 2 out of 5 stars for Not Bad.
