I love the garage rock revival, but to me the key to good garage rock is hooks. You want those two minute songs to each be a little hook bonanza that gets the feet moving. There isn't a hook on this album, and without that this album doesn't offer a lot.
Granted this band has more of a punk feel than most bands that are part of the garage rock revival, but I've always thought the key to good punk was the hook, so they miss there as well.
Following the Rhapsody rating method I give it 1 out of 5 stars for Just OK.
Interesting ... I found this to be a very hooky song. Maybe I don't know what a hook is.
