So this week I was looking for a nice, folding, outdoor chair. The problem I ran into was a common one. I could find no chairs made in the U.S.A. So what to do?
My next step is then to always look for a product made by a country that democratically elects their government. In this case I ended up purchasing a couple of chairs made by Lafuma. These chairs were manufactured in France. Some would argue that you should at least get a product who's parent company is U.S.A. based, but I think that is incorrect. Our factory workers should be able to compete much easier against factory workers in France, than those in China. And my message to the U.S.A. companies would be that I won't buy your product if you choose to ship the manufacturing to China.
I have to say too that these chairs are amazingly comfortable.
i think your logic follows perfectly.
ReplyDeletehere, by the way, is a story about some bowling green entrepreneurs and their search for a manufacturer.
ReplyDeleteI also agree with Matthew's logic.
