HP SPECIAL REPORT: Heath 19, Reidland 12!
This is a Heath Post special report ... WPSD Local 6 "Gridiron Glory" is reporting that the Heath High School Pirates--0-10 in the 2010 football season and coming off a season-opening, 48-7 loss at Johnson Central--tonight have defeated the visiting Reidland Greyhounds, 19-12. The Pirates opened a 19-0 lead on their home field in West Paducah before the Greyhounds commenced a second-half comeback that fell just short. The victory, in Coach John Adams III's second game, thrusts Heath firmly into contention for what is scheduled to be the last McCracken County football championship. Lone Oak and Reidland play Sept. 16, and then Heath and Lone Oak play Oct. 28. The three schools are scheduled to consolidate into the McCracken County High School Mustangs in 2012. Stay tuned to Heath Post for updates as additional glorious events warrant.
