In 1986 this album, which currently sits at number 47 on the Best of the 80's list, hit the scene and is given credit for changing the metal scene forevermore. It's an interesting album. It's very stripped down in sound and space. Most songs are between 2 to 3 minutes and there is no heavy production going on, in fact the only part Rick Rubin played in the studio I think was to suggest they go with this very stripped down raw sound.
Even if you don't like this stuff, this album fits into something like a best of list because of its long lasting influence.
All of that being said it's not my thing, though I can appreciate it. I could see playing this on my headphones to get hyped up before my golf league matches.
Following the Rhapsody rating method I give it 1 out of 5 stars for Just OK.
