U.S. Open -- Day 4

I don't think there will be much to write about until after McIlroy is finished. But if anything comes up, I will mention in in the comments.

  1. 4 PM Scoreboard:

    1. R. McIlroy (NIR): -16 (58 holes)

    T2. L. Westwood (ENG): -6 (58)
    T2. Y.E. Yang (KOR): -6 (58)

    T4. S. Stricker: -5 (65)
    T4. F. Jacobsen (SWE): -5 (59)
    T4. J. Day (AUS): -5 (59)

If McIlroy pars out, he will finish with a score of 268, which would break the U.S. Open scoring record by four shots.

  3. The Twitter desk notes that Walter McCarty, Cameron Mills and Bill Walton, among others, are reporting that Roy McIlroy has, indeed, won the U.S. Open.

  4. Yes, he did. I have a lot to say about this, but it is going to take some time to organize my thoughts.
