College World Series: It's Over, It's All Over

South Carolina beat Florida 5-2 last night to win the College World Series for the second year in a row. Congrats to the Gamecocks.

With that game, the NCAA's competitions for 2010-11 have come to an end. We would like to give a shout out to the following teams who made our year much better:

1. Congrats to Auburn for winning their first football title since 1957 and for also holding the Unofficial College Football Championship.

2. Congrats to South Carolina for back-to-back baseball titles, and for a solid football season as well.

3. Congrats to Vandy for reaching the NCAA basketball tournament and for making the baseball final four.

4. Congrats to UK for finally winning the rifle championship.

5. Congrats to little Augusta (Ga.) State for winning back-to-back men's golf titles.

6. Congrats to UVA for taking the men's lacrosse title, reaching the final of the men's tennis tournament, and making the baseball final four -- thereby establishing themselves as the king of Rich White Guy Sports.

7. And last -- but most important -- congrats to Coach Calipari and the UK men's basketball team for reaching the Final Four for the first time since 1998.

All in all, it was a great year. And we'll be ready to start a new one in less than two months.
