Bjork's 1993 debut album currently sits at number 83 on the Best of the 90's list.
It's an interesting collection of songs. Mostly electronic pop, the songs are oddly constructed, but all work to highlight Bjork's voice and range of expression. She's doing everything from simple pop, to jazz and for a debut album it set Bjork up as a true talent both as a singer and songwriter.
I think by Post she had nailed down what she wanted to do and as an album I believe it works better. Debut has some great moments, like the opener "Human Behaviour" but as an album it's a bit of a miss.
This would be a fun album to play while getting ready for a night out on the town.
Following the Rhapsody rating method I give it 2 out of 5 stars for Not Bad.
Good video.
