Best of the 90's: 2001 by Dr. Dre

Dr. Dre may be the most important hip-hop artist ever and I can't stand him.  He is a brilliant producer, and has a fantastic ear for talent, but I hate that his preference is to push hip-hop toward the vulgar, the violent, and the misogynistic. 

It is therefore pretty much guaranteed that I will praise the sound of any album Dre is involved with but despise the lyrical content and the whole feel that his albums create.  2001 is no different and though it sounds great and fresh 12 years after it debuted, I can't get past the lyrical tone of the album. 

Currently 2001 sits at number 82 on the Best of the 90's list. 

Following the Rhapsody rating method I give it 0 out of 5 stars for Don't Like.
