Album Review: I Am Very Far by Okkervil River

You ever have those albums that you put on and it doesn't seem that bad, but then it seems like it's just dragging on and on and you find yourself wanting it to be over.  Well maybe not because most people would just stop playing it.  Not me I've sat through this album a number of times and had the same reaction each time. 

I'm not sure I can put my finger on the problems here but it feels as though they are many.  Simply put there just isn't much of interest here.  There are no hooks, no sound that draws you in, just a series of 11 songs that plod along leaving no trace of their existence in your memories. 

You could easily have this album play in the background while you did your bills.

Following the Rhapsody rating method I give it 1 out of 5 stars for Just OK.
