Album Review: Holding Onto Strings Better Left to Fray by Seether

When I think of angry 16 year old boy hard rock, this is exactly what I think of.  It's an angry album with an angry sound and for what it is it's not bad. 

It's definitely not my thing and though I can appreciate what these guys are doing up to a point it's not music I enjoy.  That being said this is a solid collection of songs and these guys don't really miss a beat.  Even with "Country Song" where they play around with a country sound, they manage to make it work and still bring it back into their angry hard rock, playing off the bluesy sounds of country. 

 Don't get confused this is not heavy metal, but heavy rock/pop.  A modern day Foreigner you could say.  So if you are feeling a bit angry and you want to rock give it a try. 

Following the Rhapsody rating method I give it 2 out of 5 stars for Not Bad.
