This seems to be another breakup album. It was being written and put together while Harper and Laura Dern were splitting and the album is full of torment and sadness. It took a bit of growing on me, but I got to liking this album after a bit. It's a bit heavy at times, but all in all it works for what it is. Because of its mood you have to be in the right frame of mind or at least allow yourself to get drawn into it's mood.
If you're in the mood for some moody rock then give this a listen. It would be good for a road trip alone.
Following the Rhapsody rating method I give it 2 out of 5 stars for Not Bad.
