Best of the 90's: Post by Bjork

PostThis 1995 release currently sits at number 93 on the Best of the 90's list. This was Bjork's second solo album and helped to fully establish Bjork as a musical power all to her own.  Her debut album had impressed, but she was able to follow it up so strongly and continue to push the envelope of what can only be classified as Bjork music that it became obvious she had legs for a solid career.

If you don't know Bjork's music and you only know her from her crazy get ups and behavior you are missing out.  She blends electronica, jazz, and pop on this album in ways like no one else can even imagine.  Vocally she's a unique artist both strong and fragile, maybe lumped with Sinead O'Connor on that front.

If you want to expand your mind musically then I would suggest giving this a listen.  It would be a great album to play while painting the house.

Following the Rhapsody rating method I give it 3 out of 5 stars for Pretty Good.
