I'm not a big fan of greatest hits albums, but I was in the mood to listen to Sade today and this album just got released so I thought I would give it a listen.
There are 29 tracks here, all singles except for three new tracks and two remixes. The three new tracks are all solid and include a Sade cover, this being "Still In Love With You" by Thin Lizzy. This may be the only cover I've ever heard Sade do. The two remixes are throw aways, especially the remix of "The Moon and the Sky" featuring Jay Z.
All in all it's a solid collection of songs, but you could have picked any 24 Sade songs across her albums and made a solid collection. I would suggest going out and buying all six Sade albums rather than picking up this collection.
Is there ever a bad time to listen to Sade, no.
Following the Rhapsody rating method I give it 2 out of 5 stars for Not Bad.
I'm thinking about releasing a greatest-hits record.
