Album Review: Two by Lenka

TwoIf you blend Frente, The Cardigans, and Lily Allen you'll get Lenka.  This means you'll get quirky upbeat pop, with plenty of keyboards, and slightly off center vocals.  It makes for a fun blend and a fun spring time album.

Unlike Eliza Doolittle who I said sounded unoriginal, Lenka has managed to create a sound that is her own.  She's taken the more pop components of all the artists I mentioned and used them to create this sound and it's a hard thing to resist as you listen to the album.

A great spring time album I will be throwing this on my mp3 player for taking a lunch time bike ride tomorrow.

Following the Rhapsody rating method I give it 3 out of 5 stars for Pretty Good.

  1. The lunch-time bike ride sounds great. Have you been doing this regularly? If so, I'll bet it has helped you feel more at home more quickly.

  2. Well so far every Wednesday when I want to ride it's been cloudy, rainy, cold, and windy.
