What might one do with a master's degree in history? He might help make sure that Livingston County's history survives the next week or so.
Meanwhile, down river at Paducah, ...
Take your pugs to the Kentucky State Parks!
One of the great joys of my life since being hired by The Heath Post last summer to work on the Kentucky desk is perusing obits from all over the state. I've always loved obits--even the ones that reconstruct only the framing of a life. For example: Born in Letcher County, named "Columbus," had a couple of sisters who moved away, worked in the mines, got married, had babies who had babies, worshipped at the Pentecostal church. It's interesting to imagine what all filled in the spaces among those beams.
The Twitter desk is thrilled to announce the first Chuck Todd ReTweet of a HeathPostdotcom Tweet. (We are distressed, however, to see that he apparently thought we were kidding.)
I don't think he thought you were kidding. I think he thought that was a good, and clever, point.
ReplyDeleteI may call on him to issue a clarification of his "Ha" later today.
ReplyDeleteWhat does RT mean.
ReplyDeleteThanks for putting up the picture of the riverfront.
