So Tiger is finally back in contention. The middle-aged men of America will be pleased. Lots of HDTV will be watched tomorrow. It will be interesting to see if Tiger can put together two good rounds in a row. It will also be interesting to see if Rory McIlroy really is prepared to stake his claim to be the best in the world.

T3. T. Woods: -7 (71+66=137)

Here are the latest odds in Britain on the winner. The oddsmakers do not agree with me that McIlroy is the favorite:

McIlroy: 10-3
Westwood: 10-1
Jason Day: 11-1
K.J. Choi: 12-1
Ogilvy: 12-1
Mickelson: 16-1
