Best of the 80's: Nothing's Shocking by Jane's Addiction

Nothing's ShockingI really didn't care for this album when it came out in 1988 and probably haven't listened to it in about 20 years, but I went into this with open eyes curious to see how I would perceive it now.  I still don't like it.  I never got the appeal, never got the sound, never got anything at all about this album or any of their stuff.

I've actually come to like some of front man Perry Farrell's later work, but as for this album, just not for me.

That's not to say that I can't appreciate that this album has some moments that work, like "Jane Says," but for the most part this album, coming in at number 93 on the Best of the 80's list, is a throw away.

Following the Rhapsody rating method I give it 0 out of 5 stars for Don't Like.

  1. Thank you, Jane's Addiction, as this video sent me on a completely satisfying Red Hot Chili Peppers jag.
