Sitting at number 5 on the Best of the 70's list is this 1972 release from David Bowie.
I'm not sure this is the best Bowie album I've heard on this countdown, but it's solid and takes the singer songwriter feel of Hunky Dory and gives it a much harder edge. Honestly though I think this album sits where it does because it is considered the peak of glam rock. There is a loose concept to this album and it all comes together because of Bowie's presence. Even on the album his energy is undeniable.
A good album to play while playing Bowl Bound. Also if you are going to make a 70's mix tape you couldn't go wrong with including the song "Ziggy Stardust."
Following the Rhapsody rating method I give it 3 out of 5 stars for Pretty Good.
Good song that I'd never heard--thanks.
ReplyDeleteCrazy how much Bowl Bound goes for at ebay.
