This album sets its mood with the opening track featuring Melody Gardot with a wonderful version of "If I'm Lucky." It's soft and emotional and makes you want to turn down the lights and enjoy the night. Though Haden teams up with six different female singers he carries the mood with each one and on the solo instrumental tracks as well.
If you enjoy simple, elegant jazz then I would recommend this one. It would be perfect for an evening with your wife after you put the kids to bed.
Following the Rhapsody rating method I give it 3 out of 5 stars for Pretty Good.
