Heavily influenced by The Rolling Stones and James Brown this album mixes both sounds with a four piece front and a four piece horn section. A solidly produced album it has the energy of a live performance.If you like The Rolling Stones or James Brown you should give this a listen. It's interesting how they've blended the two sounds. It has the pacing of Brown, but the dirt and grime of The Stones and works very well.
Feel like rock is dead, then throw this on and you'll be happy to hear stuff like this is still being recorded.
Following the Rhapsody rating method I give it 3 out of 5 stars for Pretty Good.
