If you like Darius Rucker as a country singer, then you should like Josh Kelley as well. Another pop star turned country artist Kelley's debut as a country singer sounds very much like Rucker's album. He's shooting for the adult contemporary country scene with simple, family oriented songs and does a solid job of constructing the album. Similar to Rucker's album I don't find it to be necessarily all that interesting but there is nothing bad about the album.
I could see throwing this album on at a family reunion or playing while you sit around at the beach, on a week off, while reading summer, fun novels.
Following the Rhapsody rating method I give it 2 out of 5 stars for Not Bad.
