Album Review: Eliza Doolittle by Eliza Doolittle

Eliza DoolittleSomewhere between Lilly Allen and Duffy is where Eliza Doolittle lies.  This isn't a bad album, but where Lilly Allen sounded original five years ago Eliza Doolittle sounds like a complete copy of all that is going on around her.

That being said she's still managed to construct a solid album and should be a good fit for the summer.  It shows that she has an ability to write songs and to perform, the big question is can she find a sound that is her own.

A fun play while washing the car.

Following the Rhapsody rating method I give it 2 out of 5 stars for Not Bad.

  1. A completely pleasant experience, this song ... India Arie, by the way, does a lovely sendup of "The Alphabet Song" with Elmo that has been a formidable hit around our house for some months.
