HP SPECIAL REPORT: Mason County High product leads Kentucky team to national hoops championship!
This is a Heath Post Special Report ... With sophomore Trevor Setty, a Mason County High School grad, contributing 32 points and 17 rebounds, Pikeville College has won its first NAIA Division I men's basketball championship. The unseeded, orange-and-black Bears rallied to send the game into overtime and then pulled away to upset No. 3 Mountain State University of Beckley, W.Va., 83-76. "This year’s championship marks the 74th annual event, which distinguishes itself as the oldest national championship basketball tournament in the country, preceding any NIT or NCAA Tournament." Congratulations, Pikeville!
