HP SPECIAL REPORT: Beechwood stalwart, four others advance to POL finals
This is a Heath Post special report ... In what is not a surprise to "Oh, Kentucky" readers, two-time state Poetry Out Loud runnerup Torie DiMartile has advanced to the finals of the 2011 competition taking place today at Frankfort's Western Hills High School. The Kentucky Arts Council Tweeted minutes ago that the Fort Mitchell Beechwood student advanced along with Pikeville's Jared Auten, Louisville Butler Traditional's Tyler Poteet, Grant County's Kaytee Holtman and--the home-crowd favorite--Kaitlyn Luyster of Western Hills. The Heath Post will advise as events warrant.

I wonder what the odds are on DiMartile taking the title this year.
ReplyDeleteIt sounds like this is all about who you know and how long you've been around.
ReplyDeleteOh, boo! Why do you assume fraud? I love Kentucky.
